This is the BEST Mexican Restaurant I've tried so far in Tracy!! I am extremely picky when it comes to food and especially Mexican food!! I've tried a few here in town and non of them even come close to the Fresh, Savory and Delicious food here at Casa Mendoza!! I ordered the 2 item combo which is reasonably priced at $9.50. When you are seated you are immediately welcomed with fresh tortilla chips, salsa and beans to enjoy while deciding on what your going to order. The beans are so creamy and flavorful that there is no need to cover them with cheese. But they come that way.
My order of a Chile Relleno and a pork Tamale both with the red sauce were so delicious!! The Relleno was a vision... perfectly stuffed with so much cheese ( I had never seen so much cheese in a Relleno) and the egg coating was perfectly fried to a light golden texture. I can't even describe my first bite without drooling. The Tamale was moist and fresh but not wet and with the perfect amount of spice. The rice was perfectly cooked with just the rice amount of seasoning.
Can't say anymore than a must in Tracy!!! -

I feel like I am the star of Deadpool 3, and tge running joke is that I keep getting disappointed by chimichangas.
This place is in the desert of Tracy, right off the main interstate. It is very family centric, and the people running it are very nice. You get a complimentary bowl of salsa and beans with your chips. For my entree, I chose a beef chimichanga.
Unfortunately, though fried, the tortilla was soggy. When I cut through it, it was simply full of beans and beef...an underseasoned overcooked beef chunk filled chimichanga. But...NO CHEESE! There was more cheese on my side of beans then in the whole chimichanga. What's the point of deep frying if no cheese in it?
Maybe I ordered wrong, as the employees are nice enough, but I probably wouldn't return any time soon -

We used to LOVE Casa Mendoza. Not anymore. The menudo was like water and the beans and rice was just ok. My husband said the best thing from there were the peppermints.

This place is magical. The food here is real authentic Mexican food. The food so flavorful it will have you thinking about the next time you'll go back and who'll you'll bring to share this goodness.

Ate there this morning. Best part of their food was their chips. Food wasn't cooked all the way, there was mushrooms in the huevos rancheros, then they had a sign saying the huevos rancheros was today's special, but didn't honor the price because thy said that was from yesterday. If that's not the price don't have the sign up. Food was gross, don't waste your time stopping here!!!
